It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, I’ve been out of the country working in Poland and India. I’m tired (but who isn’t?!). Happy to be back in London now, but it’s always a challenge being away from the kids! One of the things that helps me when I am eating bland hotel food for the seventh time is going back to my overall purpose. And, as many of you know, that purpose is to have a positive impact on at least one human being everyday for the rest of my life. It also helps me to remember the following:
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it!
As our lives get busier and busier how are we meant to get everything done?
Top tip to beat procrastination: When you are next struggling to complete a small goal or a big goal, change your ‘How’ to a ‘Why’. Instead of “How am I going to complete this on time?”, change it to; “Why am I going to complete it on time?”. If it’s hard to answer that question then work out… how can I make this important to me?
For more on the power of why see > Simon Sinek’s video, it’s an oldie but a goodie!
Another great way to ensure you’re not wasting time is to set an intention each day. With that in mind, this week’s challenge is to write down at the beginning of the day, the following: I would know that today is a great success if at the end of the day I did [YOU FILL IN THE BLANK] or felt [YOU FILL IN THE BLANK]. Do it for any 3 days within the next week.
You know how much I really want to empower you to live a life you love. I’d love to hear how you’re getting on. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to get in touch.
